B Corps that are Best for the World

Best for the World™ identifies the B Corps whose verified B Impact Scores in the five impact areas evaluated in the B Impact Assessment rank in the top 5% of all B Corps in their corresponding size group. The initiative will be discontinued from 2023 onwards. See more information below.

Update on Best for the World

Best for the World, our annual celebration of businesses achieving high scores across the five pillars of the B Impact Assessment, will be discontinued from 2023.

In the 10 years it has been running, Best for the World has been much loved as a motivating force for B Corp certified businesses to be recognised for their leadership and impact, and we know this decision will be disappointing for many. We also hear lots of constructive feedback each year about how to improve it and other ways to define or recognise the highest impact businesses in our community.

As B Lab continues to evolve our standards in a way that meaningfully demonstrates the leadership role that B Corps and the B Corp movement should play in the world, we must also evolve our campaigns and programmes.

The Best for the World B Corps over the years represent some of the most admirable examples of business as a force for good across the world. Undoubtedly, their leadership, best practices, and guidance will continue to be a great source of inspiration for our movement and beyond – and you can continue to search and find out more about them in the public B Corp Directory or visit our case study page.

Update from B Lab

What is Best for the World?

Every year, B Lab recognizes the top-performing B Corps creating great impact through their businesses. These B Corps are named Best for the World™ as their verified scores in the five impact areas evaluated on the B Impact Assessment community, customers, environment, governance, and workers-are amongst the global top 5% in their corresponding size group.

These businesses are proving that competing not only to be the best in the world, but the best for the world, is a winning strategy, and they can lead the way as more businesses continue to join the movement that is transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.

What does it take?

The B Impact Assessment evaluates a company’s practices and outputs across five categories: community, customers, environment, governance, and workers. Learn more about how BFTW B Corps have excelled in one or more of the five different impact areas.
