About TAZE KURU GIDA INC

Taze&Kuru is working to change perceptions about nutrition and environmentally sound techniques to dry fruits and vegetables. They have drawn upon ancient methods of preservation and pioneered a unique renewable-energy-powered food drying process which produces healthy snacks that are free from preservatives, coloring and all additives. Their facility is environmental, they do not use fossil fuels, and produce no carbon smoke.

Taze&Kuru is a healthy snack production company. As Taze&Kuru means Fresh&Dried in Turkish, they are passionate about the food and the nutrition! They love to find it from nature (the original source) and share with people who are interested in healthy eating. They believe that health and happiness are driven by what we eat and that changing eating habits can create miracles. They wanted to serve people the best/cleanest/purest healthy snacks and created their brand “Quru."

This patented indoor system protects foods from the negative externalities of sunlight, dust and other harmful elements during the drying process so that aflatoxin formation and contamination, the main hygiene problem of food drying industry, are prevented. As a result fruits and vegetables retain their real flavors and high nutritional value for 12 to 18 months.

Taze&Kuru also aim to change some eating habits for children, so that they can enjoy a better life as they grow. Consuming Taze&Kuru products is, as a new generation snack, a healthy, natural choice of daily diet.

As a Certified B Corp, they are proud to be part of a community of companies developing better business practices, creating new ways to measure success, working with dignity and purpose, and using business as a force for good.

When we first saw the motto of B Corp as ‘be not the best company of the world, but be the best for the world’, we thought that B Corp is just translating our feelings and business approach to the market to the world.

The Change We Seek®

Unfortunately, in modern times, local artisanal processing has been replaced with factory and industrial processing, which actually diminishes the quality of the food, rather than making it more nutritious and digestible. Clinical researches have also proven that some illnesses can be triggered by unhealthy food people intake.

Industrial processing depends upon sugar, white flour, processed and hydrogenated oils, synthetic food additives and vitamins, heat treatment and the extrusion of grains. Taze&Kuru aim to change the eating habits of children so they can enjoy a better life as they grow.

They proudly found that B Corp's support all natural, good and clean nutrition, as well as positive environmental practices. Since they use renewable energy, they don't produce any fossil fuel waste or smoke. Moreover, their used energy source can be used over again for other purposes.

What Taze&Kuru have been practicing for years as a single body, is now an important matter for a group of businesses. They are now part of community that cares, that is concerned about energy, women employment, fair wage, industrial food additives, seasonal productions, supporting small scale farmers.
